Nourishing Food for the Mind, Body, Soul
24-48 hours prior and the day of your appointment follow these guidelines for the most effective cleanse during your colonic
IMPORTANT: REMEMBER NO FOOD 2 HOURS BEFORE YOUR SESSION, NOTHING TO DRINK 1 HOUR BEFORE
Foods to consume: fruits and vegetables, herbal teas, plenty of water, smoothies, soups and salads
(these foods help soften the contents of the bowel, creating an effective cleanse)
Foods to avoid: chicken, beef, pork, raw fish, wheat or gluten, white rice, dairy products, alcohol, pop, sugar and spicy foods can make the content of the bowel sticky and may cause discomfort during your colonic session.
If you have issues with your blood sugar and can only consume small amounts of fruit, eat as many vegetables as you like instead. Please bring a snack with you for after the session to avoid blood sugar crash.
If you are on a cleanse for parasites or candida, follow that protocol for food and supplements.
We recommend bringing a smoothie, fresh fruit or juice with you for after your colonic, especially if you have low blood sugar. You will feel hungry after as it will have been 3 hours with no food. If you know you have electrolyte issues, please bring an electrolyte drink for after your session. Feel free to stop by our snack bar after your session if you forget to bring a snack.
After your colonic you will be given a glass of water and probiotic. You may eat and drink right away. You will be hungry. We recommend eating steamed veggies, cooked fish or eggs, smoothies, fruits and plenty of water and herbal tea. Avoid alcohol, pop, coffee, hard to digest starches and raw sushi. Refrain from heavy exercise for the remainder of the evening.
If you are participating in the recommended triple session cleanse, it is our recommendation you follow this cleansing diet for the remainder of sessions. It will reboot the body and you will feel AMAZING!
