If you are new to Meditation and The Chakras, The root is a good place to start. I feel as with most situations in life, we all long for roots, stability, strength and security. Are you feeling hopeless, disconnected, powerless? Do you suffer from symptoms such as allergies, colds and flu often, auto-immune disorders, arthritis, inflammation, sciatica, or obesity? Check in with your emotions, how is your sense of belonging? Without a stable connection or belonging, biologically our sleep, diet, hormones, cycles and stress levels become disordered. Do you spend a lot of time in a space of fearfulness or worry when it comes to survival? The purpose of boosting the root chakra is to feel a sense of Stillness, Security and Stability. The following affirmation can be repeated several times a day until these symptoms pass.
"I am fully aware of my position here on earth and I know that my basic needs will always be met"
Find a comfortable place to sit or lay down and relax. With your back straight and both feet planted firmly on the floor, breathe deeply through your nose and deep down into your bottom belly. Feel the breath fill your belly, listen to it as it expands and contracts inside your body. Feel the weight of your body, how it pulls towards the floor, connecting you with the centre of the earth. Visualize the earths core, it is a large magnet. From the base of your spine imagine an anchor hooked into that magnet. Imagine a ruby red chord coming into the top of your head all the way down your body connecting to the anchor. That red chord roots us to the earths great energy filling our bodies with beautiful clear ruby red light. Allow this light to remove all stress, insecurity, tension or dis-ease. You are safe, you are secure, your are still. Like an old tree with roots deep into the earth, you are the same, strong and able to withstand the storms of life. You always make the right decisions for yourself. You may ask Archangel Uriel to be with you for guidance away from the dark places of the unknown or lack of direction. Continue listening to your breathe and release all questions, concerns and stress to the Universe, focus on the ruby red light filling your body. Stay here as long as you need to, once stillness has met your heart and mind, begin to come back to the present, slowly open your eyes, give thanks to the Universe for taking care of you and all your needs.
May the blessings of this meditation stay with you and remind you to be still in times of stress or worry. ~love~
